“None of us in there know what’s going to happen tomorrow”

Mason Rudolph, the quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, was the team’s top performer this year. He surpassed Kenny Pickett, the previous starter, late in the season following a string of impressive performances that propelled the Steelers into the postseason conversation. He now faces an uncertain offseason, though.

Following the Steelers’ season-ending loss to the Buffalo Bills on Monday, Mason Rudolph will be free to sign with any team. Consequently, he concedes that he has no idea what the future will bring. He is currently still fixated on the aspects of the game that went wrong.

What will happen is unknown to me. At his postgame press conference, Rudolph stated, “None of us in there know what’s going to happen tomorrow, much less next year,” according to Pro Football Talk. “It aches and hurts to think about the game and the loss right now. We could have performed better today, you know. I believe that none of us were really able to put in our best effort because of the early turnovers, including myself. That is therefore the main thought at the moment.

Rudolph does, however, appear to believe he has what it takes to start in the NFL.

Yes, I believe I’ll have a better understanding of it when I review the entire tape,” Rudolph remarked. However, as of right now, it’s clear that the goal was to win here, and we were unable to overcome a strong squad.

However, I believe I can state that I was pleased with the offensive plays we made during the past three weeks. Simply the way the boys supported one another during our celebration. We had chemistry, belief, and affection for one another, regardless of how well the run game was going or how well the receivers were performing.

Whether Rudolph gets that opportunity with the Steelers or anyone else next season will have to wait and see.
