The following processes decide the draft order:
(A) Regardless of the clubs’ regular season record, the winner of the Super Bowl chooses last and the loser chooses next-to-last in every round.
(B) The teams that lose the Conference Championship games rank 29 and 30 in each round, based on their standings reversed.
(C) Based on their standing in reverse order, the Divisional Playoff losers choose 25 through 28 in each round.
(D) The Wild Card game losers choose positions 19 through 24 in each round, in reverse order of their standing.
(E) Teams who do not advance to the playoffs choose in all rounds from first to eighteenth place, based on the reverse order of their ranking.
The club that faced the schedule of teams with the lowest aggregate won-lost-tied percentage would receive preferential selection order if ties still remain in any grouping, with the exception of (A) above, after the aforementioned procedures have been applied. These ties will be broken by calculating the aggregate won-lost-tied percentage of each involved club’s regular season opponents.
In the event that there are still ties between teams in the same division or conference, the appropriate divisional or conference tie-breaking procedure is applied.
Should relationships persist, the protocols for severing ties for teams from disparate conferences will be implemented.
Clubs in ties between two clubs will switch places each round. The club at the top of a tied segment in a particular round will move to the bottom of the segment for the following round, while all other clubs in the segment move up one spot, in ties involving three or more clubs. The entire Draft is spent in this cycle.
