A remarkable new contract with title chasers is set to be signed by the former star of Brighton and Leeds.

Former Seagulls and title-chasers are expected to reach a new agreement.

Ben White, a former defender for Brighton, is expected to sign a lucrative new contract with Arsenal.

Since moving from Brighton to the Gunners for £50 million in July 2021, White, 26, has made an impression. He has totaled 100 appearances for Mikel Arteta’s squad, mostly as a right back, scoring three goals and providing five assists.

White’s current contract is set to expire in June 2026, but the team is eager to get him to sign a new agreement that will keep him in the Emirates for the long haul.

The negotiations for a new contract are going well, and it is anticipated that a final agreement will be reached in the coming months, according to Football Insider today.

Before finalizing his transfer to Arsenal, the former Seagull made an impression at Brighton and enjoyed one fantastic season in the Premier League under then-Albion manager Graham Potter. He rose through the youth ranks on the south coast, and he enjoyed productive loan stints in the Championship with Peterborough, Newport, and Leeds United.

After Brighton was promoted to the Premier League, White’s former Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa was eager to sign the player. Brighton turned down Leeds’ offer of £25 million, and a year later, they sold him to the Gunners for double the sum.

White, who is presently earning an estimated £120,000 per week, is expected to join players like William Saliba, Martin Odegaard, and Bukayo Saka, who have all recently signed better new contracts, as Arsenal looks to lock down its best players.

Though White has played for England on four occasions, his most recent appearance was in March 2022 for Gareth Southgate’s team. Despite being part of the World Cup team the previous summer, he left the team early for personal reasons.
