“Dreadful news for Liverpool”: A transfer insider delivers a crushing blow regarding Mo Salah’s replacement.

If Liverpool and Mo Salah part ways in the summer, they might have trouble finding a top candidate to replace the Egyptian player the following season.

Despite his connections to Leroy Sane of Bayern Munich, Christian Falk revealed that the German is especially well-established in Bavaria. Furthermore, he would only consider relocating to one of Europe’s more populous cities.

“Leroy Sané is reportedly being considered by Liverpool as Mohamed Salah’s replacement, which is more bad news for Liverpool,” the head of football at BILD wrote in an exclusive column with CaughtOffside.

On the other hand, I’ve heard that Sané’s family has moved to Munich and is now content there.

At this point, it seems unlikely that the family would move to Liverpool; they would probably be more drawn to the cities of London, Madrid, and Barcelona.

“On the other hand, it appears that staying at FC Bayern is the most likely option right now.”

This coincides with the top flight in Saudi Arabia reportedly showing interest after an abortive attempt to spur an exit.

In 2024, will Liverpool even want to let go of Salah?
Given that the player and the club appear to still gain from their relationship, it’s a question worth asking.

The 31-year-old, who will turn 32 in the coming year, has already helped Jurgen Klopp’s team score 14 goals in as many games (across all competitions) this 2023–24 season.

It raises another query: is Salah really past his prime at Anfield now?

In light of this, it’s hard to think that some at L4 won’t be pushing for the possibility of a contract extension for one of the most valuable players in world football.
