If Leeds United does not get promoted, Marc Roca might be signed by Real Betis for a second season on loan.
Mucho Deporte claims that if Leeds does not make a comeback to the Premier League this year, Betis may want to extend Roca’s contract with the team by an additional year.
Following Leeds’ relegation to the Championship, Roca was one of eight players from the starting lineup from the previous campaign to leave Elland Road on loan in the summer.
Roca’s efforts have drawn mixed reviews thus far. Spanish journalist Carlos Freytas Palomo told the Yorkshire Evening Post that Roca has frequently had difficulty during games.
However, Roca has been commended by Betis director Ramon Planes, has scored two goals, and was included in Spain’s provisional team for the most recent international break.
Betis may once more sign Roca on a loan
It’s intriguing to learn that the Spanish media views Roca’s potential return to the Premier League as contingent simply on Leeds failing to return at the first opportunity.
Many fans believe that all of the players who left on loan during the summer have since burned their bridges with the team and would not be welcome to return.
This yearning would be much stronger if Leeds were to advance, since it would be unfair to the players who have fought and into the team to have those who left to replace them.
A permanent contract for a player like Roca, for a price as near to what Leeds paid Bayern Munich for him, would be the best course of action for all involved.

His performances thus far should generate enough interest from other teams to guarantee he moves on permanently, even if Betis are not the ones to sign him.
