EAGLES QB JALEN HURTS BREAKS NFL RECORD WITH BROTHERLY SHEE RUSHING TD

Jalen Hurts broke the NFL record with his 26th rushing touchdown of the season on Sunday night against the Bills.

Hurts scored on a one-yard run to make it 7-0, but at the same time became the first Eagles quarterback to have 10 rushing touchdowns in his first three seasons in the NFL.

The Philadelphia Eagles have made two significant roster moves ahead of Sunday’s home game against the Buffalo Bills.

Wide receiver Quez Watkins has been activated from injured reserve, while linebacker Ben Van Sumeren has been promoted from the practice squad to replace T.Y. Togiai on the 53-man roster.

Eagles defensive tackle Milton Williams was knocked out of Monday night’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs in the third quarter after taking an inadvertent hit to the head from Eagles linebacker Nicholas Morrow. Williams appeared to be in shock, and at the beginning of the fourth quarter, the Eagles announced that Williams was being assessed for a concussion and would be out for the remainder of the game. Williams had been on injured reserve for the previous four games with a hamstring injury, and was listed as questionable on Sunday.

Williams finished the game with five tackles and a tackle for loss. We know what the “Tush Push” does to the Eagles’ opponents; 4,000 pounds worth of muscle pushing them backward for another Philadelphia first down or score. We also know what the “Grunts” do to the NFL’s star quarterback, Jalen Hurts.

DeVonta Smith, a 170-pound receiver for the Atlanta Falcons, said on the “This Is Football Podcast” that it was like “you can’t breathe” when everyone was on top of you. “You can’t breathe,” Smith said. “You try to breathe, but it doesn’t work.”

I’ll put a little pressure on him,” Smith said, “but I won’t get in that pile.”

Jalen Hurts has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys after sustaining an undisclosed injury late in the first half.

Hurts (knee bone bruise) was hit from behind as he stood in the pocket with less than a minute remaining in the first quarter. He was clearly in pain as he lay on the ground, limping slowly. Fortunately for Philadelphia, he was able to return to the game for the start of the third quarter, but there was no denying that Eagles fans were gasping for air.

He was caught on camera on his way to the dressing room just before the half. He completed 10 of 13 passes for 120 yards with one rushing score in the first half.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says he is aware of the challenges facing his team on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles in Philadelphia. The Cowboys have won consecutive games over the Los Angeles Chargers and the Los Angeles Rams.

This is a big deal up here on Sunday, dude,” Jones said on his weekly radio show. “We need to play it cool. We’re playing the number one team in the league, and in my opinion, we played San Francisco last year when they were number one, and we got smoked.”

The Cowboys beat the Eagles 26-17 in Philadelphia last October, with Cooper Rush at quarterback. The Eagles went on to win the NFC East and the Super Bowl.
