Coaches fired: Leeds United’s next opponent today confirmed an important decision to try to revive the season

Leeds United are preparing for the international break before traveling to Rotherham United in just under two weeks, and the Millers will have a new face in the squad for this match.

The Whites are in superb form at the moment, having closed the gap to top spot down to eight points in the last two games, winning six out of the last seven.

An international break looms now to give Daniel Farke time to get players back to fitness and prepare for a busy festive period.

Rotherham v Leeds: Millers sack Taylor Next up for Leeds is a trip to Rotherham United in their first game back after the international break, live on Sky Sports.
They face Rotherham, who managed to stay afloat last season under Matt Taylor, but are struggling this time, with four adrift in the drop zone.

Their final result was a 5-0 score at the hands of Watford, right after giving Leeds a big advantage with a draw against Ipswich Town.
Taylor has paid the price, with the Millers confirming this morning that they have sacked Taylor:

A search has been launched at the New York Stadium to ensure a new face emerges when Leeds travel to South Yorkshire.

A return from the new manager was not what we wanted against Rotherham in a game their fans will be excited about on Friday night.
We still should have gone out and won the game, but they showed against Ipswich that they won’t be overwhelmed this season, even given their league position.
One has to wonder which way they are going, as teams around them have changed managers but there is no panic over the appointment of firefighters – QPR have Jose Cifuentes, Sheffield Wednesday have Danny Rohl .
