Statistically, two Tottenham players rank in the top five young players in the Premier League.
Both Pape Matar Sarr and Desinty Udogie rank among the Premier League’s top young players in terms of performance, per Who Scored’s ratings.
Given that many had extremely low expectations going into the season, Tottenham supporters are understandably ecstatic about the start the Lilywhites have made.
The fact that the current Spurs team is made up primarily of young players whose prime years are still ahead of them is one of its most exciting aspects.
This includes Udogie, who has probably played the best left-back in the Premier League thus far this year and has adjusted to Ange Postecolgou’s system’s inverted full-back role with ease.
The 20-year-old made his international debut last month, proving he is unfazed by the big stage during his first start for the Azzurri against England at Wembley.
Under Postecoglou, Sarr has also been a revelation, partnering with Yves Bissouma in the middle of the park to form a formidable partnership.

Sarr and Udogie demonstrate how bright the Spurs’ future is.
Udogie and Sarr came in third and fourth place, respectively, among Whoscored’s five highest-rated players under 21 in the Premier League this season.
Without a doubt, as they gain more experience over the next few years, players like Van de Ven, Sarr, and Udogie will continue to grow. Tottenham’s ceilings are extremely high, so it’s an exciting time to be a fan.
