“IT’S ALL ABOUT LOOKING FORWARD,” said DomÍnguez.

This weekend, when Aston Villa comes to The City Ground, Nico Domínguez says that the team’s main goal is to get back to winning ways at home.

After Forest’s first loss in four games, a 3-0 loss to Liverpool at Anfield over the weekend, the Reds head back to Trentside hoping to salvage three points.

The Argentine midfielder met with the media this week to talk about his time adjusting to Nottingham, recent performances, and the Villans’ visit on Sunday.

On Nottingham life…

It’s excellent. Here, I’ve been incredibly welcomed and accepted.

“So far, getting to know the city has been great.”

Regarding keeping adjusting…

Everything is going incredibly well. It gets better with every game, in my opinion.

“I would like to express my gratitude to every member of the club for their support and belief in me during this transitional phase.

“As far as the club goes, I have to say that the entire team helps me get settled.

“Off the field, my own family’s support in relocating to this new city and place has been amazing. They are here with me.

They have played a crucial role in making things easier than they otherwise might have been.

“It’s just my partner and our child here now, but my in-laws and dad were here for a while. When it comes to food, I was acclimating to eating in a foreign country while I was in Italy; white meat, chicken, and fish aren’t all that different.

“You just accept the weather as it is; it will rain and then stop.”

About recent outcomes…

“With the exception of the last two games, which is not what we wanted or were hoping to achieve, I think we’ve had a decent run of results overall.

“We were most disappointed with the Luton game because we were hoping to win, but moving forward is the most important thing right now.

“We learned some valuable lessons from those games, and our focus now is on securing the next three points at home by any means necessary.”

About Aston Villa…

We are aware that they are in a rich vein of form, so we know this will be a difficult encounter for us.

They are a team that enjoys playing excellent football, but we are aware that we must confront and defeat them directly.

“We have to force our will on them and bring our game to them in the hopes that we will achieve the desired outcome at home.”
