Despite selling their best players, Brighton can go from strength to strength, largely due to their ability to adequately replace them with cheaper options. Paula, who is now 19 years old, is making waves in Stuttgart’s reserve team this year. Paula, who typically plays as an offensive midfielder but can also play on the left wing, has six goals this season in nine games for Regionalliga Sudwest. The last two appearances Paula has made have resulted in three of those strikes.

In fact, since joining Stuttgart’s academy in 2017, Paula has consistently scored goals at every level he has competed at.

Paula had four goals in 14 games for the club at the Under-17 level before moving on to the Under-19s and increasing his strike rate. The next promotion, this time to Stuttgart’s reserve squad, came after 10 goals in 23 minutes.
