Jurgen Klopp has decided to rest some of his key Liverpool players for tonight’s Carabao Cup third round clash against Leicester City.
Mo Salah, Alisson Becker and Andy Robertson are all not included in the matchday squad along with Joe Gomez. The quartet featured in last Sunday’s 3-1 win against West Ham United. With the Reds facing Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday, Klopp used the opportunity to host Championship leaders Leicester to give them a breather.
In all, Liverpool made 10 changes against the Foxes, with Curtis Jones the only survivor from the win over the Hammers.
