The New York Giants defeated the Green Bay Packers 24–22 on Monday night, and for the first time in what seems like forever, they emerged from the game unscathed.
As the Giants get ready to play the New Orleans Saints, every member on the 53-man roster showed up for practice on Wednesday, even though it was a walk-through. This good fortune was evident on the field.
Evan Neal, the right tackle, who has missed the previous four games due to an ankle ailment, was one of them.
About Neal, head coach Brian Daboll would only say, “He’ll be out there.”
One player who is still not practicing is tight end Darren Waller. He remains on injured reserve with a hamstring injury. Waller has not played since Week 8 against the New York Jets.
Daboll said Waller is “making progress. Getting closer.” He did not rule out Waller being activated for Sunday’s game.
