The New York Giants have signed veteran kicker Mason Crosby, adding him to the roster as the team has been dealing with a series of injuries at the kicker position. Cade York, who was initially expected to handle kicking duties in Monday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles, was placed on injured reserve due to a quad injury sustained in practice on Thursday.

Mason Crosby, 39, spent an impressive 16 seasons with the Green Bay Packers before becoming a free agent after the 2022 season. With 1,918 career points, he currently ranks 11th on the NFL’s all-time scoring list. Known for his accuracy, Crosby has converted 81.4% of his field goal attempts over his career.

While Crosby had a brief stint on the Los Angeles Rams’ practice squad earlier this month, he has not seen game action during the current season. The Giants will look to leverage Crosby’s experience and skill as they navigate their kicking situation amid a challenging season marked by injuries.
