A Cincinnati man will make history at Super Bowl LVIII.

Cincinnati native and Purcell Marian grad Terry Killens will become the first person in NFL history to play in and officiate a Super Bowl.

Killens was selected as part of the officiating crew for this year’s Super Bowl in Las Vegas.

The 49-year-old from Cincinnati was a member of the Tennessee Titans when they played the St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXIV on Jan. 30, 2000. Killens recorded one tackle while on special teams that game.

Now, 24 years later, Killens will make NFL history when Super Bowl LVIII kicks off inside Allegiant Stadium on Feb. 11.
