Micah Parsons, a defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys, posted a dangerous message on Instagram after the team’s Christmas Eve loss to the Miami Dolphins. Parsons believed the Dolphins offensive line held him multiple times during the contest, but no penalty was given.
Cowboys supporters took issue with the Sunday game’s call. A Dolphins offensive lineman tackled a Cowboys defender on a run play, according to one replay. There was no flag thrown for holding during the play.
Parsons posted a comment on Sunday night’s Instagram story regarding the officiating—or lack thereof. As Parsons put it:
“Set me free, dog! I apologize for anything I did to the officials.
The offensive linemen for the Dolphins are clearly holding Parsons in the background photo.
According to what JPA Football posted on X, Parsons might have to pay a fine for his social media complaints.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and head coach Andy Reid of the Kansas City Chiefs received harsh penalties for their angry outbursts at referees both during and after their team’s game against the Buffalo Bills.
Probably not much of an impression was made by what Parsons shared on Instagram on Sunday night. On Saturday, Parsons might have to come up with a sizable sum of money.
