former NFL scout orders steelers boss sacked.
The Pittsburgh Steelers have lost three in a row and are in danger of losing their playoff hopes after Saturday’s 30-13 drubbing at the hands of the Indianapolis Colts. It’s the second consecutive losing season for the team, and the first in coach Mike Tomlin since 2008. It’s no secret that changes need to be made within the organization, and whether that includes firing Tomlin remains to be seen.
Despite being one of the most successful coaches in the NFL during his time with the Steelers, Tomlin has yet to win a playoff game since 2016. With the team’s current state of affairs, Tomlin’s seat is as hot as it’s ever been, and it’s time to let him go.
“I think Mike Tomlin ought to be fired right now with the state of the team he’s in,” former NFL scout and current member of the College Football Hall of Fame Selection Committee, “I’ve been fired twice, but it’s the best thing I’ve ever done.”
If Tomlin is fired, it won’t fix all of the team’s issues, but it could start the process of getting the Steelers back on track from the mediocre level they’re currently at.
Pittsburgh will host the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday at 4:30 PM ET on NBC.

Mike Tomlin’s seat is hotter than it’s ever been, and it’s time to let him go.
Mike Tomlin is one of the most successful coaches in the NFL, but the Pittsburgh Steelers haven’t made the playoffs since 2016. It’s no secret that the organization needs to make changes, and whether that means firing Tomlin is in the cards.
Former NFL scout and current ESPN analyst Jon Gruden thinks Tomlin should be fired.
“I think Mike should be fired right now, given where the team is right now,” Gruden said on “3 and Out Podcast.” “It’s just time.”
Granted, I’ve been fired twice in my career, but that’s the best thing I’ve ever done. And both times, I went on to win championships and make millions of dollars. If Tomlin is fired, it won’t solve all of the team’s problems, but it could start the process of getting the Steelers back on track.
