Steelers: Mike Tomlin’s intriguing ‘New York’ reaction to….

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin discusses his team’s Week 15 opponent, the Indianapolis Colts, after a 30-13 loss. The Steelers are now 1-2 in the AFC North and have fallen further behind the Indianapolis Colts in the standings.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin had some interesting comments after his team lost 30-13 to the Colts on Sunday night. In the first half of play of the game, veteran safety damontae kazee was penalized for a vicious hit on Colts wide receiver MICHAEL PITTMAN Jr., resulting in an ejection.

Here is Tomlin’s interesting reaction to the crucial call.

According to Brooke Pryor, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin believes the call that resulted in the ejection was “cited from New York.” So what does Tomlin’s reaction say?

At first blush, it’s clear that the head coach doesn’t like the call, and he’s trying to make it look like it was an accident. But the refs won’t let a play like Kazee’s go unpunished. When it’s a player’s health at stake, they’ll do whatever it takes to make sure they’re as safe as possible.

It wasn’t just the hit that the Steelers had to deal with. They gave up a season-high 372 total yards to the Colts on offense. Pittsburgh couldn’t quite contain the Colts’ offense, and their defense couldn’t keep up with Indianapolis’ offense.

On the other end of the field, the turnovers seemed to hurt the Steelers. Pittsburgh allowed four sacks, two picks, and a fumble. The passing game wasn’t great, but the rushing game wasn’t either. Pittsburgh gained 74 yards on the ground, compared to the Colts’ 170.

The Steelers’ Week 15 opponent added to the team’s growing adversity, but that doesn’t mean the team can’t overcome its issues and finish the season on a high note. The Steelers have three more regular season games to put together a winning streak.
