Giants Activate Pro Bowler And Super Bowl Champion suffers serious neck injury.

This has been a weird season for the New York Giants.

After going 2-6 in the first half of the season, the Giants’ fan base was fed up with a team that went 10-7 in 2022 and then won a wild card round road game against the storied Minnesota Vikings.

Then, after losing $40 million quarterback Daniel Jones and replacing him with Tyrod Taylor, the team found an undrafted local quarterback and Italian-American icon – Tommy DeVito – who has inexplicably won two games in a row while the Giants are muddling along at a dismal 4-8.

It’s strange, but I still feel like there’s a sense of positivity at MetLife Stadium. Not positivity about making the playoffs – nope – but something about the DeVito thing, the two-game winning streak, and maybe just the incredibly low expectations that have been set over the last ten years has made this not-so-bad season for the New York Giants look pretty good.

To make matters worse, according to Dan Solomone, the Giants will put Pro Bowler and two-time Super Bowl winner Tyrod Taylor on injured reserve.

How will this play out for the New York Giants?

The New York Giants have announced that the team’s starter for the rest of the season, Tommy DeVito, will be relieved of his duties.

Still, the Giants will certainly benefit from having a player such as Taylor, who, to my surprise (at least), has a Super Bowl ring and was a Pro Bowl participant (in 2015).

Taylor’s presence on the Giants’ sidelines and as backup quarterback in the event that an injured NYG quarterback goes down will certainly be beneficial.

From a season-by-season point of view, it’s not a big deal. The Giants are way out of the playoff picture, and they’ll have to win and hope for a miracle to even have a chance at the seventh seed. But, the truth is, the Giants’ front office isn’t thinking right now. They’re focused on the next three years. Even with some great play from players like Kayvon Tibodeaux.
