Steelers’ super star ruled out.

Kenny Pickett has been ruled out for the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Week 15 game against the Indianapolis Colts with an ankle injury.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett has been ruled out for Week 15 due to an ankle injury, according to Mike Tomlin, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Pickett will not play against the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday.

The Pittsburgh Steelers lost to the New England Patriots last week, 21-18, with Mitch Tribusky starting in Pickett’s place. Pittsburgh now sits at 7-6 after losing two in a row. The team is trying to qualify for the playoffs and will need to win in Pickett’s absence on Saturday.

It’s been a rollercoaster of a season for the Steelers, but there’s still hope. If the team can stay competitive, then maybe Pickett will come back and help the team make a run for the playoffs in the near future.

Will the Steelers Bounce Back in Kenny Pickett’s Absence?

This is Pickett’s second full NFL season. In 12 starts, he’s completed 2,070 passes for 6 touchdowns and has thrown 4 picks. He’s had some great games, but he’s also had some forgettable ones. The Steelers have high hopes for Pickett, even if he’s been inconsistent at times.

Pittsburgh’s challenge this week will be to figure out how to win games without Pickett. While Tribusky isn’t the best quarterback in the NFL, he is a veteran backup who’s been in plenty of big games.

The Colts also sit at 7-6 after falling to the Cincinnati Bengals, 34-14, on Sunday. The lopsided loss puts Indianapolis in a tough spot going into Week 15.

The Colts, similarly to the Steelers, will consider Saturday’s game a must-win. It’s a crucial game for both teams as the 2023 regular season draws to a close.

The Steelers will be looking to close out the season on the road against the Colts. The game is scheduled for Sunday at 16:30 PM EST.
