The Dallas Cowboys are the worst team in the NFL, Richard Sherman says in ‘Hot Take’ by ‘Ignorant Jerry Jones

The Dallas Cowboys are a laughingstock, Richard Sherman says in ‘Hot Take’ about Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

ARLINGTON – There aren’t many arenas where Jerry Jones could be labeled a “loser,” but Fox Sports’ Richard Sherman thinks he’s found one. “Winners focus on winning, and Losers focus on losing, and that’s what the Eagles are doing right now,” Sherman said on the “Undisputed” TV show.

Why is Sherman calling the Dallas Cowboys “losers” and their owner “Jokester Jerry”?
What Sherman is doing is trying to take a shortcut to a “hot take” by ignoring the fact that Jones is making a sarcastic, self-serving assessment of his own success and his “envy” of his Philadelphia rivals.
Here’s what Jerry said (and I’m including the audio so you can hear for yourself):

“I don’t know what I did to deserve this,” Jerry said, laughing, “but why can’t the ball just go the other way?”

Again, Richard jokes that he wants a few balls to go his way to help the Cowboys, who are 8-3, close the gap on the NFC East-leading Eagles, who are 10-1.

But Sherman isn’t having any of it. He said, “No one can go 10-1 and not win a game, Jerry. Focus on your team. Focusing on the Eagles isn’t going to get you any wins.”

Sherman is making a big mistake on both counts. The Cowboys host Seattle on Thursday night, but they have the right to know about the Eagles’ visit next week. At this point, Jones’ front office is so “focused on their team” that they are engaged in a bidding war for Shaq Leonard’s services.

But it also allows for a Philadelphia perspective, because the Eagles are the contender.

Jones’ Cowboys are the “doomed”? With a win today, Dallas would have the second best record in the NFL, literally proving the opposite of what Sherman claims.
