Making his debut with the New York Jets

Aaron Rodgers is one of the most decorated and beloved players in the history of the NFL, and as he turns 40 this weekend, an Achilles tear doesn’t seem to be slowing down his remarkable career.

The Packers quarterback has four MVP awards to his credit, as well as a Super Bowl ring. In his 18 seasons with Green Bay, Rodgers has also won 10 Pro B.

Rodgers delivered seven consecutive games of two-plus touchdowns and zero interceptions all while playing through a broken toe during the 2021-22 season.

Although he’ll be spending this year’s birthday on the sidelines after suffering a season-ending knee injury in his New York Jets’ debut following his summer trade, Rodgers will still have plenty of highlights to add to his impressive career highlight reel.

In the meantime, here’s DailyMail.com’s list of the top ten highlights from Rodgers’ career so far, as he looks to make it four in a row on Saturday.

He was also the first quarterback ever to lead the NFL in passing yardage, passing touchdowns, and interception percentage twice in a single season. His determined performance won him his fourth NFL MVP award, and second in a row. His fourth MVP victory broke a four-way tie with Packers legends Brett Favre (twice), Jim Brown (twice), Johnny Unitas (twice), and Tom Brady (twice) to move within one of the record of five set by Peyton Manning. “I’ve said this to the guys a couple of times when I had the chance to talk to them before the game, one of life’s great satisfactions is having your teammates hold you to a certain standard and seeing you live up to it,” he said. “And when I step on the field, I know there’s a level of expectation that those guys have for me to perform, and being able to do that week in and week out has been very meaningful to me.”

Rodgers breaks Favre’s all-time touchdown record on Christmas Day 2021. Rodgers cemented his place in Packers history when he beat a Green Bay legend, Brett Favre.

In Week 16 of the 2021 season, Rodgers found Allen Lazard for an 11-yard reception and the wide receiver burst into the end zone to give the Packers a 7-6 lead.

More importantly, it was Rodgers’ 443rd touchdown of his career, breaking the all-time franchise record set by Favre. Rodgers was greeted by a pre-recorded pregame message from his former teammate, Favre, which was shown on the big-screen inside Lambeau field.

In the Super Bowl, Rodgers led the Packers to a stunning 31-31 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Packers trailed 28-25 with less than half a minute remaining in the game. Rodgers was facing a third and 10 at the Steelers’ 25-yard-line. Rodgers fired a beautiful pass to his favorite player on the Packers’ team: Greg Jennings. The ball eluded Steelers’ cornerback Ike Taylor and fell into Rodgers’ arms for a stunning 31-yard reception. The Packers then went on to gain 5:27 of time before kicking a game-winning field goal. Rodgers was named MVP of the game and won his only ring with the Green Bay Packers.

The Packers were looking for their first win in five games against their divisional rivals, the Detroit Lions, after losing four in a row to drop their record to 7-5. With no time left in the game, the Packers faced a 23-21 deficit in Detroit. Rodgers took the snap from his own 39-yard-line and dropped back to his own 28-yard-line, where he scrambled out of danger. Rodgers then fired a 61-yard Hail Mary to Richard Rodgers in the end zone, and the Packers celebrated as Rodgers sprinted off the field to the delight of a stunned Ford Field crowd.

In Week 1 of the 2018 season, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers left the game in the second quarter after sustaining a knee injury and was carted to the locker room. The Packers then went on to lose to the Chicago Bears, who built a 20-3 lead at the half. Rodgers miraculously returned in the second half and led Green Bay on a one-legged comeback. With the Packers trailing 20-9 late in the 4th quarter, Rodgers threw a perfectly-timed 39-yard TD pass to receiverGeronimo Allison, then found receiver Davante Adams for a 20-16 score. Rodgers then found receiver Ty Cobb, who took the ball 75 yards down the field for a game-tying 75-yard score and an extra point by Mason Crosby to give Green Bay a 24-23 victory.

‘Al, he can’t even stand on his left leg,’ Chris Collinsworth said of Rodgers on the broadcast. ‘And he is making play after play after play.’

In the NFC divisional playoff against the Dallas Cowboys in 2017, Green Bay had let a 21-3 lead slip away and was down 31-31 with 12 seconds left in the game. Rodgers was determined not to let the game slip away, and with the Cowboys on the 32-yard line facing a 3rd-and-20, he rolled out on his left and fired a dart downfield to receiver Jared Cook, who caught the pass and went 35 yards for a score. With the ball on the 33-yard line and time running out, Packers kicker Crosby booted a 51-yard field goal to win the game for Green Bay. The Packers would go on to lose the NFC Championship game to the Atlanta Falcons.
