Pistons team has the potential to be the worst team in lions sports history.

It hasn’t been an easy decade for Detroit sports fans, but things are looking up (for the Lions and the Wolverines at least).

The Pistons, on the other hand, will continue to set franchise records for losing streaks until they finally win again (they currently have 17 consecutive losses).

The Detroit sports media did their best to highlight the Pistons’ issues this week, with some noting that the Lions’ 10-3 record means they have more wins than the Pistons’ 9-53 record this year.

That’s bad enough for the Pistons right now, but how bad is it historically?

Let’s get into it.

Is the 2023-24 Pistons one of the worst Detroit teams ever? It’s hard to be worse than the 0-16 Lions of 2008, the 43-119 Tigers of 2003, or the 16-66 Pistons of 1979-80. It’s almost impossible to make it worse than the winless Lions of 2008, but when you factor in the number of games played in the NBA this year, it could be close.

The team did not win a game in November and currently has the worst record in the NBA with a record of 2-17 and a winning percentage of.105. That would be the worst in Detroit sports history, with the exception of the 2008 Lions, who went 7-9 in November. The 2007 Lions went 10-6 in November.

On the other hand, the Pistons went 17-65 in the regular season last year (the second-lowest winning percentage in team history) and have not won a game since. Unless they hit on their top picks in the upcoming draft and several players improve, there is no end in sight for a franchise that once went to the NBA finals in 2004 and 2005.

At this point, fans’ best hope is that more losses will result in some much-needed changes.
