Top Aston Villa player ‘disgusted’ as latest footage emerges

Villa fans were left exasperated by Legia Warsaw fans after a pre-match fracas ahead of Thursday’s (30 November) Europa Conference League match.

Legia supporters were barred from entering Villa Park as West Midlands Police warned of a security risk, but one hour before the kick-off, they launched a pre-match attack.

Tanks were fired and 39 people were arrested in the wake of the massacre, while four police officers sustained minor injuries.

Villa had informed Warsaw on November 2 that their allocation of tickets had been reduced to 1002 as a result of safety concerns after Legia fans caused a huge disturbance at their home game against AZ Alketmaar.

Although Villa eventually won 2-1 thanks to goals from Moussa Diaby (2) and Alex Moreno (1), fans have been expressing their anger at the “lack of thought” shown by the travelling fans.

One fan was perplexed as to why Legia supporters were complaining about not being able to get into Villa Park when they did not even have a ticket.

The massacre also resulted in the use of live ammunition and the arrest of 39 people, as well as the wounding of four police officers.

One fan was of the opinion that the away fans weren’t even thinking.

One fan fumed that the “absolutely rotten” Legia were attempting to blame the Villans for the incident.

One fan had never seen such a “stupid” bunch of fans and questioned what they’d even achieved.

This fan felt sympathy for the non-violent travelling fans who were let down but the “disgusting” contingent.

This fan blasted Legia’s response to the violence as they failed to take any responsibility.

This fan called for the “appalling” Legia supporters to see a lifetime ban from all football grounds.
