Philadelphia Eagles Troll Travis Kelce & Taylor Swift After Victory Over Kansas City Chiefs
While Taylor Swift was unable to attend her friend Travis Kelce’s Super Bowl watch in Kansas City, the Eagles’ official social media account did not miss the opportunity to troll the superstar couple after the Eagles’ 21-17 Monday Night Football win over the Chiefs. Taylor Swift fans have been creating “friendship bracelets” to wear and exchange at her “Eras Tour” concerts this year. They’re inspired by a line from her song “You’re On Your Own” in which she says, “Let’s make friendship bracelets, let’s take a moment and taste it.”
According to TMZ, Travis Kelce tried to hand Taylor a bracelet with his number at one of her summer concerts in Kansas City. It didn’t happen, but they met in August in New York City and fell in love. To make things even more interesting, Swift was raised in the Philadelphia exurbs and is a “self-proclaimed childhood Eagles fan.”
If Saturday’s show in Rio de Janeiro hadn’t been postponed to Monday night because of a concert goer’s death, Swift would’ve been there for a Swift and Kelce family reunion.
Swift is huge up and down the Mid-Atlantic corridor, even bigger than she is in the rest of the country. But, for one night, Philadelphia Swifties were okay with her getting clowned on social media.
