Retired defensive end Myles Jack is set to re-enter the NFL by signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Eagles just released the veteran LB last week, and now Myles Jack is returning to the NFL.

Philadelphia Eagles Linebacker Myles Jack has been removed from the team’s reserve/retire list, and Josina Anderson has reported that the veteran is expected to return from retirement to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In 2022, Jack played for the Pittsburgh Steelers, starting 13 of 15 games and recording 104 total tackles, three tackles for loss, and one quarterback hit. After being released by the team in the spring, one year into a two-year contract, Jack signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in August. At the time, he discussed the difficulty of sitting on the couch and waiting for a call from a team. Jack missed the entirety of the offseason program and returned to the team after the start of training camp. Despite his absence, Jack was eager to join the Eagles and was expected to be a starter. However, his excitement was short-lived, as he abruptly retired from the NFL just two weeks later. Given the Eagles’ lack of depth at the linebacker position, it is noteworthy that Jack was able to sign elsewhere.

The Philadelphia Eagles have announced four changes to their roster on Tuesday, with “Kelce” becoming the most popular canine name in the United States. Quarterback Jalen Hurts is making a strong case for MVP consideration. Additionally, the midseason defense review of the Eagles’ film, as well as NFL Week 11 game picks, has been released. Additionally, head coach Andy Reid has praised Eagles defensive coordinator Sean Desai as a “brilliant” individual.

The Eagles’ bye week highlighted the excellence of Nick Sirianni.

The Eagles’ gauntlet will resume on Monday, meaning we will have to wait one more day for football action. This week’s bye week has already been as disastrous as it could be, with all three teams winning and all three of them being easy favorites. The Eagles could start the season with all the breathing room they had for the number one seed gone, but they have one major advantage.
Last Week in Dumb Coaching
We all make mistakes in life, and when you’re in the NFL, there’s only so many times you can make them before you’re out of a job. I’ve said this before, but one of the most impressive things about Nick Siriano is that he rarely makes any mistakes. He’s not perfect, nobody is, but no one in his career has done as good a job as he has of avoiding harm to his own team. Even when he’s not coaching, this week was a prime example.

Despite the positive culture that Sean McDermott has established in Buffalo, the offensive coordinator was dismissed after his defense, which is also the defensive coordinator this year, allowed the Denver Broncos to reach the 1:55 mark with a field goal. Additionally, his special teams and defense allowed too many men to be on the field, meaning there are no goats for him to exploit. I am in favor of the culture that McDermott is attempting to create in Buffalo, and I would like to see him continue to do so.

On Sunday, Kyle Shanahan replaced McCaffrey with the Carolina Panthers, who had a 34-3 lead, in an attempt to give McCaffrey his 18th game with a score in a row. Despite this, McCaffrey had five plays inside the 10-yard line, all of which were tackled harshly. This season, McCaffrey has been on pace for second-highest workload of his career, and he has missed 13 games this season after his highest workload of the year. Therefore, it is clear that providing McCaffrey with hard-earned touches will not lead to a Super Bowl victory.

Despite leading the Giants, 42-7, in the fourth quarter, Mike McCarthy decided to take Dak Prescott out of the game in favor of CeeDee Lambeau, the only player on the team who had been performing well. Frank Reich then took back play-calling duties after having given it up three weeks prior, and Arthur Smith, the coaching genius, took the field. It was hard to imagine Nick Sirianni taking the field with a bad mustache, but he did. I don’t care much for Coach of the Year awards, as they are meaningless, but he is one of the most talented coaches in the NFL, partly due to his ability to not make mistakes, which is why the team has gone 8-1 in consecutive seasons.

It has recently been reported that the NFL has resolved their issue of a glitch and has cleared out reserve lists, resulting in the Eagles releasing Bernard Williams, who had been suspended in 1995. It is important to note that the following players are currently on the Eagles’ roster, having started their NFL careers at the time of Williams’ suspension: Jason Kelce; Brandon Graham; Julio Jones; Lane Johnson; Fletcher Cox; Darius Slay; Bradley Roby; Rick Lovato; James Bradberry; Kevin Byard; Marcus Mariota; Haason Reddick; Zach Cunningham; Dallas Goedert; Jake Elliott; Boston Scott; and Nicholas Morrow; all of whom were born after Williams was suspended. Additionally, Kelly Green’s jersey has been retired and has been brought back as a throwback.

The Philadelphia Eagles have a long history of success in the game of football, having won 17 playoff games and reaching three Super Bowls under the leadership of Doug Pederson. Super Bowl winners Mike Tomlin, Sean McVay and Nick Sirianni have yet to coach a single game at any level. Swoop was also born in Philadelphia. Thanks for the memories, Bernard! College Football Week 12 watch list includes North Carolina vs Clemson, where potentially draftable quarterback1 Drake Maye will face off against the suddenly ascendant Tigers. Washington vs Oregon State is a matchup of NFL-level talent, with the Huskies likely motivated by the fact that they and Washington State now share the Pac-12 title. While the receivers of Michael Penix and the Beavers’ offense will be the main focus, three offensive tackles are worth watching, with Washington’s LT Troy Fautana #55 and Oregon State’s RT Roger Rosenerarten #73.
