The journalist believes the 28-year-old star has “decided to leave Tottenham”.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg faces an uncertain future at Tottenham Hotspur and could leave in January

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is likely to decide to leave Tottenham Hotspur in 2024, according to journalist Paul Brown.
The 28-year-old Danish international was a regular starter under manager Antonio Conte.
However, with the arrival of Ange Postecoglou, he surprisingly fell down the pecking order as Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma preferred him.

Rodrigo Bentancur’s return from injury makes Hojbjerg’s task even tougher. The Uruguayan was his partner under Conte but now, it seems, the two will hardly start alongside each other again, given Ange’s preference for other players.

Speaking exclusively to GiveMeSport, Brown believes the former Bayern Munich and Southampton midfielder could leave.

He said: “Hojbjerg seems to have decided he wants to go.
He was told at the last stage that he could leave if there was a suitable offer, which probably led to his decision.
“He’s on the team right now due to injury, but it doesn’t look like he’ll be on the team for very long and I think he knows that.
” At this stage in his career, he’s.
We want to play regularly and we have a lot of players in that squad.
Some pretty big clubs could consider him and give him more playing time than Spurs.
” Hojbjerg has traditionally been a typical defensive midfielder, with the best mobility and attacking ability.

don’t have the ability.
Bisouuma is probably more perfect in this regard, and it seems that Ange is not looking for a Dane.

If that is the case, there is no point in keeping a player that isn’t preferred by the manager. We already have the likes of Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso on our books whose long-term future at Spurs has been in doubt for a while. There’s no point in adding another name to the list.

But we have to ensure that we are well covered for when Bissouma and Sarr leave for AFCON in early 2024 because we will definitely need depth during that time. The Mali international’s suspension got Hojbjerg a start against Fulham in a 2-0 win.

And he was pretty decent in that game. There is no doubting Hojbjerg’s ability but if the manager doesn’t want him, it’s best to cash in on him as soon as possible, but also ensuring that we aren’t short of options in defensive midfield mid-season if he does leave.
