Man Utd eye daring January bid to land £26m Tottenham striker

Arsenal have been given the green light to sign Fluminense’s Andre Trindade this January, with Liverpool reportedly not interested in a move.

According to Globo, Arsenal and Liverpool have sent scouts to watch Trindade, 22, in action for Fluminense in the final against Boca.

This Is Anfield, however, has reported that Liverpool are not looking to make a January move for Trindade despite an enquiry in the summer.

This is good news for the Gunners, who could now be in pole position to sign him in January.

As for the rest of Arsenal’s defensive midfielders, there is no obvious need to make a change.

Declan Rice is out with a knee injury, while Jorginho and Thomas Partey are both out with a hamstring.

There is talk of Partey wanting to leave in January.

If the Ghanaian is allowed to leave, the hierarchy could quickly turn their attention to replacing him.

Andri would be a good signing for Arsenal. The striker is a good passer of the ball, and he loves to tackle and win headers. His work-orientation and high pressing skills would also be ideal for Arsenal.

There is a slight downside to his lack of aerial ability, but apart from that he has all the necessary tools to be a massive success in the top flight.

Argentina’s sporting director, Edu Gaspar, has strong links with Brazilian clubs, including Fluminense, who have agreed to sell the midfielder in January.

According to Andre’s agent, there were several bids in the summer but Fluminense have agreed to sell.

The Gunners are one of the teams vying for his signature, but it is rumoured that he could cost as much as £30 million, Fabrizio romano has reported.
