Aidan Hutchinson of the Lions is not worried about a shortage of bags in recent weeks.

Aidan Hutchinson, the Detroit Lions’ leader in sacks with 4.5, revealed on Tuesday that he has been praying more. “I’m joking, no, I’m serious,” he said. “My sacks have come in a lot, so I don’t have to worry. I know what I’m capable of.”

Lions release veteran WR Marvin Jones, who says he’s stepping away to deal with family matters

Detroit Lions wide receiver Marvin Jones announced on social media on Tuesday that he is retiring from football to focus on his family. “It wasn’t an easy decision, but I can’t be the man/player I need to be and be there for this team while also tending to my family from far away,” Jones wrote. “I have moved my wife and five children to San Diego and was looking forward to signing with an NFL team in the West Coast.”

When Jones signed with the Lions in April, he couldn’t resist the chance to return to Detroit and play for one of the most improved teams in the NFL. He had five receptions for 35 yards in his first six games this season, but didn’t travel with the Lions to their most recent game, a 42-0 drubbing of the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

The Lions will host Las Vegas on Monday night

The former California star was originally selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 5th round of the 2012 draft. He signed with the Lions in 2016 and spent five productive seasons in Detroit.

In Jacksonville last season, he caught 46 passes for 529 yards with three touchdowns. He also had four receptions for 50 yards in the playoffs.
