Fans of Leeds United can exhale with relief regarding Willy Gnonto following the revelation of Everton’s transfer.

Upon joining Leeds United in the summer, Daniel Farke was faced with a plethora of transfer-related concerns.

The manager didn’t seem to be able to stop a number of first-team players from departing Elland Road after the team was relegated from the Premier League.

However, Wilfried Gnonto—who has now made more than ten appearances this season—was one player who, perhaps surprisingly, chose to remain in West Yorkshire.

Even though Premier League team Everton reportedly agreed to a £38.5 million deal to sign the winger in the summer, according to Sport Mediaset (1 September), the Whites were obviously keen to hold onto the young Italian, and they were successful.

However, there’s a chance the Toffees will make a move for the player in the January transfer window, which could cause Farke some worry.

But in light of the most recent transfer tidings involving Everton, which FootballTransfers reported on November 5th, the Merseyside club is pursuing fellow winger Maxi Araujo, the manager and Leeds supporters can both exhale with relief.

The Toffees reportedly failed to sign Gnonto, so they are reportedly keeping an eye on the Toluca forward, who can play left wing or left back.

The Uruguayan international is reportedly being considered, according to FootballTransfers, since Luis Sinisterra, who was loaned to Bournemouth after Everton was unable to sign him, did not end up at Goodison Park.leeds united

Due to an ankle injury that has limited his playing time this season, Gnonto hasn’t exactly lit up Elland Road, but he is still a fantastic option for Farke.

Though the specifics of the impending transfer window are still unknown, Gnonto is certain to take center stage and make news.
