Photos: Lakers’ Anthony Davis Shows Off New Back Tattoo Depicting NBA, CBB Journey.
Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis has added another tattoo to the collection on his body.
The fresh ink from tattoo artist Steve Wiebe covers Davis’ back and depicts his journey from playing college basketball at Kentucky to the NBA, with the phrase “started with a dream” written above the images, with the Larry O’Brien Trophy and 2012 NCAA title among them.
Davis got a tattoo on his right thigh honoring Kobe Bryant in January 2020 after the Lakers legend died in a helicopter crash.
The new tattoo features Davis in his No. 23 Kentucky jersey, the NCAA championship trophy from the Wildcats’ victory over Kansas in the 2012 title game and the Larry O’Brien Trophy from the Lakers’ win in the 2020 NBA Finals.
Davis played one season at Kentucky in 2011-12 before becoming the No. 1 pick to the New Orleans Hornets in the 2012 NBA draft. He was a near-unanimous national college player of the year winner during his freshman campaign.
