According to the NFL transaction wire, former Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Jeremiah Moon was claimed by the Pittsburgh Steelers off waivers. Moon will formally join Pittsburgh’s roster following the Super Bowl, when the transaction is scheduled to occur. Moon spent the preseason with the Ravens before being cut after signing with them as an undrafted free agent in the previous spring. Despite being added to their practice squad, he missed all of his first season’s games. This summer, he inked a reserve/future contract with the Ravens, and for the 2023 campaign, he was added to their practice squad once more. After being added to the 53-man roster, he participated in four games as a special teams and defensive player, making one start.

In total this season, Moon played eight games, recording 12 tackles, one tackle for loss and two forced fumbles. The Florida alum will have a chance to compete for a roster spot in Pittsburgh this summer. The team currently holds three outside linebackers in T.J. Watt, Alex Highsmith and Nick Herbig, as Markus Golden is set to hit free agency. Make sure you bookmark All Steelers for the latest news, exclusive interviews, film breakdowns and so much more!
