The absence of the Pittsburgh Steelers from this weekend’s games annoys Mike Tomlin.
For coach Mike Tomlin, the Pittsburgh Steelers will be watching the Divisional Round on the couch this weekend, which is all too often.
Everything is awful. Yes, it does. There are no levels of badness. Everything is awful. I’d much rather be at work. My stomach twists at the notion of traveling to Mobile, Alabama. Not that I’m against Mobile, but I understand what it’s like to be at work and not be able to use Mobile. Being in that tournament as the field grows closer is a very satisfying feeling. and to be accomplishing the goals you set out to accomplish during the previous 12 months. Therefore, it stinks and it’s not us.
The Steelers haven’t advanced past the Divisional Round in six years, and their Monday loss to the Buffalo Bills guaranteed them a trip home rather than to Baltimore.
The Steelers are now starting to prepare in hopes that come January of next year, they won’t be in the same situation as they are now. To do that, the process begins with Senior Bowl scouting in Mobile and continues with the addition of a few quality players in the draft and free agency.
