The Chicago Bears are the center of attention this offseason as they prepare for the 2024 NFL Draft.
Chicago is in the news right now since they have the first choice in the draft right now. We may now know more about the Bears’ potential plans with that pick thanks to a purported interview.
Kliff Kingsbury, the Chicago Bears’ interviewee for the open position,
The Chicago Bears are anticipated to interview Kliff Kingsbury for the offensive coordinator post, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. After taking over as head coach in 2019, Kingsbury led the Arizona Cardinals until the conclusion of the 2022–2023 season.
After receiving a firing call from the Cardinals, he stunned the NFL community by leaving for Thailand. Fans initially assumed that Kingsbury was retiring from football as a result of this decision. But three months later, Kingsbury agreed to take over as USC’s quarterbacks coach.
What This Signifies
Should Kingsbury receive an offer to become offensive coordinator, it may indicate that the Bears have a strong interest in quarterback Caleb Williams. The quarterback, who attended USC for his college career, is currently predicted to be selected first overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. There is discussion, though, regarding the Bears maintaining Justin Fields as their starting quarterback and dealing the first overall pick to a good price. We’ll have to wait and see whether these rumors turn into anything.
