LeBron James has always expressed a desire to play in the NBA with his son Bronny, but his future in Los Angeles is now in doubt with the most recent information provided by NBA source Shams Charania.

“I’ve spoken to people in the league, and [Bronny] is listed on several clubs’ draft boards. What if he gets selected somewhere other than Los Angeles? There is a player option for LeBron James this summer, Charania stated on FanDuel TV on Thursday.

After the Lakers defeated the Mavs 127-110 on Wednesday, LeBron hurried back to the locker room to see Bronny play in his collegiate game.

In USC’s 82-67 defeat to Arizona, the freshman guard made his first three field goals while Kevin Durant was observing from the front row.

After the game, Durant remarked of Bronny, “He was aggressive.” He did a good job playing.

After going into cardiac arrest in July, Bronny has only played in ten games. During the game, he finished with 11 points on 5-11 shooting, six assists, five rebounds, a block, and five turnovers.

“I spoke with NBA people, and they know he’s much more advanced defensively than offensively,” Charania said.

Bronny was regarded as a surefire first-round pick before to his cardiac problems, but he is now, at best, a late first-round selection.

According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, teams like the Miami Heat are watching the younger James and have even gone to his games to take notes.

Bronny’s USC coach Andy Enfield is pleased with his form and growth thus far.

“This summer, the young man faced a medically challenging and difficult situation,” Enfield said to ESPN. “Bronny James is an amazing teammate; he has no ego.” His desire to improve makes him a pleasure to coach. I believe you understand. Additionally, he is improving.
