Steelers promote Kyron Johnson from Practice Squad to Active/Inactive List for Week 15 Game vs Colts
The Pittsburgh Steelers have promoted Kyron Johnson from the practice squad to the active roster for their Week 15 game against the Indianapolis Colts, according to a release from the team. This will be Johnson’s third elevation to the active roster this season, as per NFL rules. This is the final opportunity for the Steelers to elevate Johnson before they must sign him permanently.
Last week, Johnson was elevated to the active roster due to his special teams value, as he was given a helmet instead of veteran outside linebacker Marcus Golden. Johnson has played in 33 regular season games for the Eagles this season, with only one on defense, according to Pro Football Reference, and has appeared in 16 games, mostly as a special teams player. The Steelers will host the Colts on Saturday, 4:30 pm ET.

Last week against the Patriots, Johnson was elevated to the active roster over veteran outside linebacker Marcus Golden due to his special teams value.
In his first two regular season games, Johnson has had 33 special teams snaps, but none on defense.
Last season, Johnson played in 16 games for the Eagles, mostly in a special teams capacity.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will host the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday afternoon at 4:30 pm ET.
