Tinesha Mahomes’ astonishing statement is shaking up the Kansas City Chiefs fans.

Some are attacking her, while others are backing her after her comments about Brett Veach surfaced.

It’s no secret that the Kansas City Chiefs aren’t doing well right now. With the offense suffering from a productivity drought, any spark can ignite the fire inside the Chiefs’ fan base, and it’s even worse when that spark comes from the family of quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

In the wake of his brother Jackson’s controversial life, which saw him caught in the middle of a night out last weekend, this week brought on the hurricane by Tinesha, Pat Mahomes’ sister and father of the Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback.

In a social media video, Tinesha pointed the finger at the Kansas City Chiefs’ general manager Brett Veach, who she accused of being responsible for the team’s poor passing offense, particularly the receivers. “I still think a lot of it is Veach. He’s not on the field right now, but he could have gone and gotten some help. I think even Stevie Wonder would have seen that this is a problem,” Tinesha said after the Chiefs’ 17-21 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football.

In the second half of the game, Mahomes’ receivers, Marquez Valdez and Justin Watson, both dropped near-perfect passes, which contributed to the team’s downfall, Tinesha said. “The same receivers dropped balls left and right, and Pat was out there looking a bit crazy.”

Tinesha’s finger-pointing at Veach’s over-eager ego didn’t go unnoticed by Chiefs fans, who took to Twitter to respond to Tinesha on X.

“Well, in this day and age of salary cap, it’s important to make decisions,” said one moderate fan, “this team has Tyreek Hill and peak Kelce.”

“It’s true that Veach neglects the WR position,” said another, “Reid didn’t get a serious WR coach, and now we’re here!”

Others went after Tinesha directly, “I don’t know how Patrick’s staying sane with that weirdo’ish clown family”, or “I’m just trying to cash my last name”, said another fan, “FLCL_ KC trying to cash their last name.”

Although not everyone agreed with her, such as Twitter user Hembirty, who wrote, “Music to my ears. Veach needs to go.” Hembirty added, “I’ve been saying this since the Tyreek/ Mathieu trade and Chris Jones contract. Veach’s ego is too strong. We have a great team today. Veach is ruining our dynasty.”

The playoffs are just around the corner, and the Chiefs have three of their final seven games on the road, one of which is a must-win for them against the Chargers.

That means the Chiefs will need to make the most of their home field advantage, although the Bills, Raiders, and Bengals all appear to be difficult road blocks.

The Chiefs (7-3) sit atop the AFC West’s mediocre division, but they’ll still need to win at least one more game to have a shot at home field advantage in the playoffs.

At the moment, that’s as far as the Chiefs can get. They’re currently in third place in the AFC’s American Conference, trailing only the Miami Dolphins (8-3) and Baltimore Ravens (8-3).
