Orlando Magic eliminated from in-season tournament after Boston Celtics win over Brooklyn Nets.

The Orlando Magic will not be playing in the ‘In-Season Tournament’ and will not be in the ‘Knockout Round

ORLANDO, Tuesday night, the Orlando Magic announced that the team had been eliminated from the All-Star Tournament.

The team was eliminated following a 27-point win for the Boston Celtics over the Chicago Bulls and a Brooklyn Nets victory over the Toronto Raptors that triggered the point differential tiebreaker.

If the Raptors had defeated the Nets, Orlando would have qualified on the strength of a two-way tiebreaker over the Celtics.

As a result, the Boston Celtics are declared East Group C champions. They are joined in the knockout round by the Indiana Pacers (Eastern Group A champions).

The remaining two spots will be shared between the New York Knicks (Eastern Group B champions) and the Milwaukee Bucks (Eastern Group B champs). The Bucks, who are 4-0 in the series, will host the Knicks, who are 3-1 in the series, while the Pacers, who are also 4-0, will host the Celtics.

The results of the Western Conference will be announced later in the evening. The Los Angeles Lakers qualified by winning the West Group A.

The Phoenix Suns are the most likely team to qualify for the Wild Card. With a 3-0 record and +34 differential.

With the Magic eliminated, the team will now be given two games by the league, one home and one away, against Eastern Conference teams to satisfy the rest of its schedule. These games will be played on Wednesday, Dec. 6 and Friday, Dec. 8 against teams that did not qualify for the knockout round.

The Orlando Magic will host the Washington Wizards for their final regular season game tomorrow night at the Amway Center at 7:00 pm ET.
