The report states that Real Union president Igor Emery is now “very close” to a deal with Aston Villa, which Birmingham Live describes as “exciting”.

The nature of the alleged partnership has not yet been fully revealed, but it is said to be “sporting” in nature, with a possible four-year agreement in the off-season.

It is understood that Aston Villa will provide an economic endowment to Real Union, rather than joining forces with V Sports.
