Inglewood, California – The release of newly acquired wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones by the Lions will have to wait at least another week.
With only one week of limited practice due to a rib injury, the Lions listed Peoples-Jones as inactive for today’s game against the Los Angles Chargers.

The Lions traded a 2025 sixth-round pick to Cleveland for Peoples-Jones at the trade deadline.
The Lions got a week off after the trade, which means Peoples-Jones won’t have practice time until this week.
He is also dealing with a rib injury in Cleveland.
“There was a little bit of something going on here, but obviously we did the physicals and everything and we felt like it was nothing serious,” said Lions head coach Dan Campbell.
know this week.
“And anyway we want him to keep up with what we’re doing.
So look, he’s practicing and he’s looking pretty good, then we’ll decide if bring him in or not, or activate it or not, I should say, in the next few days.

The decision was made to give Peoples-Jones at least another week to become more acclimated to Detroit’s offense and give him a chance to heal that rib injury.
The Lions ruled out veteran defenseman Halapoulivaati Vaitai on Friday as he continues to rehab a back injury.
He’s been inactive, but overall this is Detroit’s best health on the offensive line since Week 1.
Taylor Decker, Jonah Jackson, Frank Ragnow, Graham Glasgow and Penei Sewell are all healthy and expected will begin.

Jackson has missed Detroit’s last three games with an ankle injury and Ragnow was ruled out of Detroit’s Monday night win over Las Vegas before the bye with a calf injury.
Also inactive for Detroit today are defensive lineman Levi Onwuzurike, defensive lineman Brodric Martin, linebacker Trevor Nowaske and cornerback Steven Gilmore.
