Source: Liverpool, £30m bid from Lloyd Kelly said to have been accepted

Sources told Football Insider that Liverpool and Tottenham will have to pay around £25-30 million for Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly in the January transfer window.
It is believed that such a fee would be too high for the Cherries to refuse denied, as Kelly, 25, is out of contract at the end of the 2023-24 campaign.

Football Insider revealed on Friday (10 November) that Tottenham are planning a new move for the Bournemouth defender after failing to land him during the summer window.

Spurs are said to have made a late offer of £20 million for Kelly but it was rejected by Bournemouth in the summer transfer window because they did not have enough time to find a replacement.
And Liverpool are now preparing to host Ange Postecoglou’s former England Under-21 international by targeting a versatile defender.
Sources told Football Insider on Tuesday (November 7) that the Merseysiders see the search as “key” to their success this season as Trent Alexander-Arnold’s role develops fast.

Bournemouth now face a crucial decision as interested parties consider whether to meet their £25m-£30m valuation.
The Cherries are said to be looking for potential replacements for Kelly – who has worn the Premier League captain’s armband in recent weeks.


Tottenham of maintaining their top spot.
Kelly joined Bournemouth from Bristol City in 2019 for a fee of £13 million, but has not signed a contract extension since then.

His contract situation puts him in high demand in England and Europe.
Bournemouth look set to fight relegation under Andoni Iraola this season, while Liverpool and Spurs are strong contenders in the top four after a successful start to the 2023-24 season.
