Wednesday Cheese Curds: Jordan Love getting plenty of praise from opponents
Love’s strong performances are drawing the attention of opposing defenses.
One of the surest signs that Jordan Love is growing as a quarterback is the respect he gets from the Packers’ opponents. Both on and off the field, Love seems to be gaining prominence in the eyes of those tasked with stopping him.
And for good reason: dating back to the end of last season, Love has been a tough man to slow down, and Sunday’s offensive explosion showed exactly what he can offer. From his 44-yard missile to Christian Watson to his savvy heave for Romeo Doubs’ second score, Love showed all the tools that make him a challenge to defend.
Love will have his work cut out for him this week against the Texans’ stout pass defense, but they’re certainly not counting on stopping him. Houston, like more and more of the league, is praising Love like he’s one of the elite players in the league. Based on his performance last Sunday, it’s hard to argue with them.
High praise from Houston, but well deserved.
