Aston Villa is ‘in negotiations’ to reach an agreement to remove the team from La Liga

Wednesday’s edition of AS has an article explaining what’s going on between Real Union and Aston Villa and how it could be bad for Real Sociedad.
Real Union is a Basque lower division club founded in 1915.
The club is owned by the Emery family, with Unai’s brother Igor having a large role there.
AS reports Aston Villa and Real Union ‘are in talks’ over a deal between the two clubs, but it is clear this will not involve selling Emery’s family.

Instead, it will be a partnership that will help Real Union progress on and off the field, and potentially reward Aston Villa along the way.

The problem is that Real Union already has a partnership… with Real Sociedad.
Aston Villa wanted this match canceled and it was reported that La Real president Jokin Aperribay knew about this.
There doesn’t seem to be any bad feelings, and it seems this partnership is not far from over.
