Harrison Burton Talks With New NASCAR Team About 2025 Contract After Surprising Daytona Win, unfortunately the…

After a stunning victory at Daytona International Speedway, Harrison Burton, previously at the tail end of the NASCAR Cup Series standings, is now in discussions with Kaulig Racing about a potential contract for 2025.

Burton’s triumph at the Coke Zero Sugar 400 significantly boosted his value in the sport. As a full-time driver who had been struggling to make a notable impact, this victory could not have come at a better time. It catapults him into the spotlight and opens up new avenues in his career just as he is considering his next moves.

Kaulig Racing has shown keen interest in Burton. Chris Rice, the President of Kaulig Racing, confirmed on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio that they are in active conversations with the young driver, according to a report from Motorsports Wire.

With an open slot in both their NASCAR Xfinity Series and possibly the NASCAR Cup Series for 2025, Burton could potentially find a new home in one of these high-profile rides. The availability of the No. 16 car in the Xfinity Series and the uncertain status of the No. 31 car in the Cup Series, pending Daniel Hemric’s return, makes Kaulig an attractive option for Burton’s career going forward.

Whilst speaking about his maiden victory at Daytona, Burton commented, as reported by NASCAR.com:

“I cried the whole victory lap. I obviously got fired from this job and wanted to do everything for the Wood Brothers I could, they’ve given me an amazing opportunity in life and to give them the 100th [win] on my way out is amazing. We’re in the playoffs now. Let’s go to Darlington and see what happens.”

As a Cup Series winner now, he brings not only prestige but also the potential for increased sponsorship opportunities. We will continue to watch out for more updates on Burton’s future contract.
