Tennessee star guard Dalton Knecht has been named the SEC Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.
The conference announced on Monday afternoon, following dominating performances against Florida and Alabama last week.
The Thornton, Colo. native averaged 32.0 points per game for the second consecutive week.
He also averaged 6.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game, while shooting 21-of-43 (48.8%) overall, 5-of-12 (41.7%) from behind the three-point line and was a perfect 17-of-17 at the charity stripe.
Knecht is the third Vol ever to receive the honor three times in a single season, joining Grant Williams (2018-19), Chris Lofton (2005-06, 2006-07) and Dyron Nix (1988-89).
He’s the fourth Vol to win the award in back-to-back weeks along with Admiral Schofield (2018-19), Ron Slay (2002-03) and Nix.
Auburn center Walker Kessler (2021-22) was the last SEC player to win Player of the Week honors three times in one season.
Kentucky guard Immanuel Quickley (2019-20) was the last player from the conference to receive the honors in back-to-back weeks.
