NRL Superstar Nathan cleary announced His wedding date with Fowler His girlfriend… See more…
The sporting power couple have been making headlines since Daily Mail Australia exclusively documented their first public appearance together early last November.
Fowler, who plays for Women’s Super League club Manchester City, has since to returned to her home in the UK – and now Cleary has indicated that he could join her.
The three-time premiership-winning halfback, who is currently in England ahead of Sunday’s World Club Challenge match against Wigan, told the Mirror that he’sopen to making the switch.
‘I’m not against it [a Super League move]. I have a pretty open mind to that kind of stuff,’ Cleary said.
‘I think just being able to experience different cultures and different experiences is something I enjoy doing. I’m not closed off to that idea.’
The Penrith Panthers are staying in Manchester and Cleary is loving being able to walk around town unbothered.
‘I was lucky enough to spend almost two months in Manchester for the World Cup and really enjoyed it,’ he said.
‘I’m lucky enough to know a bit about the town now and know where everything is so it’s good to be back.
‘I actually really like just being able to wander around the streets and no one knows who you are. I think I’ve only been recognised once. It’s a nice change (to Sydney).’
Cleary told The Sun that life in England is appealing for other reasons, too.
‘I’ve great admiration for the English fans, the way they sing and get into it. I’m sure I’ll cop a fair bit of stick from the Wigan supporters but I’m looking forward to that.
‘But I do enjoy just being able to live a regular life and somewhere down the track I wouldn’t be too opposed to trying it over here.
‘I’ve plenty of things to do at Penrith first, though. Winning the World Club Challenge is one of them.’
The World Club Challenge between Penrith and Wigan will kick off at 8pm local time on Saturday, February 24. For fans in Australia the match will begin at 7am on Sunday.
