Led Denver to a convincing 119-103 victory at the Chase Center

Nikola Jokic celebrate his 29th birthday last week, but his teammates seemingly missed the memo on gift-giving. Following Denver’s triumph over the Golden State Warriors, the Nuggets star delivered a humorous quip during his postgame interview, expressing disappointment at receiving no presents from his teammates.

Despite his birthday celebrations coinciding with his participation in the 2024 NBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis, it remains uncertain if Jokic received any gifts, especially given his absence from social media platforms.

“Nothing. Absolutely nothing,” Jokic replied when asked if his teammates bought him any presents for his birthday.

“Bad teammates… terrible teammates.”

Another triple-double

Meanwhile, on the court, Jokic showcased his dominance against the Warriors, securing a triple-double with 32 points, 16 rebounds, and 16 assists, propelling Denver to a convincing 119-103 victory at the Chase Center.

Jokic’s stellar performance marked his 122nd career triple-double, placing him fourth on the all-time list. Notably, this feat included his third triple-double with at least 30 points, 15 rebounds, and 16 assists, a rare accomplishment shared only with NBA legend Oscar Robertson.

His outstanding play comes amidst a tight MVP race against formidable competitors such as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Luka Doncic, Jayson Tatum, and Giannis Antetokounmpo, with Jokic retaining his status as the frontrunner, particularly with Joel Embiid sidelined due to knee surgery.
