Why Jayson Tatum No Longer Considers Giannis Antetokounmpo Best Player in NBA
Giannis Antetokounmpo was voted the NBA’s best active player a year ago by Jayson Tatum, a top player for the Boston Celtics.

Over the weekend, Tatum participated in his sixth consecutive All-Star Game. This season, he is averaging 27.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 4.8 assists. At the All-Star break, he is guiding the Celtics to an NBA-best 43–12 record while shooting a career-high 47.5% from the field.
The Golden State Warriors defeated the Celtics in six games in the 2022 NBA Finals, and the Miami Heat defeated them in the Eastern Conference Finals the previous season. Tatum, though, is confident that he can take Boston to new heights.
In a way, I think I’ve come into my own now, Tatum added. Even though I’m only 25, I’ve been in the league for seven years. I have a lot of confidence because I know how much effort and money I put into this game, and I know how much I want to be among the greatest.
