Despite rumors that Liverpool is interested in signing him, Jorrel Hato has officially said that he will sign a new contract with Dutch team Ajax.
In an interview with Dutch publication AD, Hato said that it would only be a matter of time before he signed a new deal.
Although the 17-year-old claimed he wasn’t thinking about negotiations, he does envision his future with the team.
Hato said, in reference to a new agreement, “I don’t worry myself with that. It will nonetheless take place.
“When it comes to my future, I couldn’t give a damn.
“The club’s current situation does not alter that.”
And this may come as a disappointment to Liverpool, who was allegedly keen to sign Ajax’s Hato in upcoming transfer seasons.
In recent months, Hato has experienced a fairly amazing ascent to Ajax’s first squad and first eleven.
