This is all the information you need to know before Saturday night’s SEC opener between No. 5 Tennessee basketball and undefeated No. 22 Ole Miss in Knoxville.

The SEC basketball season begins on Saturday night at 6 p.m. ET on the SEC Network from Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center, where No. 5 Tennessee basketball hosts No. 22 Ole Miss.

The Rebels (13-0) are one of only three teams in the nation still without a loss, sharing the record for both longest winning streak and greatest start in program history with the Vols (10-3) going into the contest on the heels of a six-game winning streak. They have already surpassed their record from the previous season (12–21) and tied it from the previous year (13–19).

Since February 3, 2018, Tennessee has defeated Ole Miss eight times in a row. Before that, UT had lost all seven of its previous meetings. The Vols have won 16 of the last 18 meetings in Knoxville, dating back to February 19, 1992, when they began an 11-game home winning streak in the series.
