The Ibrox manager revealed that Kieran Dowell and Dujon Sterling will not be playing in the match because of injury.
He clarified, saying, “Kieran was really unfortunate to be stuck in the grass during a poor pitch in Malaga. Usually, he will be absent for quite some time.
“He won’t be returning in the next few weeks, that much is certain, but we need to evaluate that and how many weeks.”
“With Dujon, he got a knock and will not feature today but I expect him back at the end of the week.”
Regarding Ryan Jack, Borna Barisic, and Tom Lawrence—all of whom are included in the squad to play Copenhagen tonight—Clement did have some good news.
“Yeah, it is a boost, no doubt about it, but people always assume they are back and can play for ninety minutes,” he continued.
“With them, we must develop in a wise and constructive manner. The medical and performance staffs have agreed that they will play for twenty to thirty minutes today.
“This is how we view this game as well. Although winning games is still vital, it is not the main focus.
“We want as many players to play together and receive their share of minutes, experience, and burden this week.
“That is the main thing about this friendly, to show good quality from the 22 players.”
